Obecnie największymi wyzwaniami, przed jakimi stoją samorządy, są pojawiające się problemy pustostanów. Zmiany w strukturze oraz liczbie ludności zaczynają wpływać na sytuację mieszkaniową. Wraz z rosnącym wiekiem ludności zmieniać się będą potrzeby mieszkaniowe. Wzrośnie zapotrzebowanie na odpowiednio zaadaptowane mieszkania dla osób o ograniczonej zdolności poruszania się. W artykule zaprezentowano część wyników badania ankietowego przeprowadzonego wśród jednostek samorządu terytorialnego województwa lubuskiego na temat wpływu sąsiedztwa z Niemcami na sytuację demograficzną i mieszkaniową polskich regionów. Podstawowym celem projektu badawczego było określenie przyszłych kierunków inicjatyw lokalnych i regionalnych na obszarach przygranicznych Polski i Niemiec w zakresie sytuacji demograficznej i mieszkaniowej. Wyniki przeprowadzonego badania mogą mieć istotne znaczenie poznawcze.

The greatest challenges that the self-governments face nowadays are the issues of uninhabited flats. Changes in the structure and number of population are beginning to influence the housing situation. As the age of population grows, housing needs increase. Demand for properly adapted flats for people with limited movement abilities will grow. The article presents some of the poll survey study results conducted among the self-government units of Lubuskie voivodeship regarding the influence of German border vicinity on the demographic and housing situation in the Polish regions. The results of the study may have a significant cognitional impact.
