W artykule przedstawiono turystykę winiarską (enoturystyka), jako formę turystyki kulturowej. Na tym tle opisano proces powstawania nowego produktu turystycznego, jakim jest szlak kulturowy Małopolska Ścieżka Winna. Opisano etapy powstawania szlaku w ramach programu realizowanego przez Małopolską Agencję Rozwoju Regionalnego S.A. (MARR), Stowarzyszenie Małopolskie Forum Winne oraz Polski Instytut Winorośli i Wina. Przedstawiono przebieg szlaku i wykonano jego mapę, a za bazę wyjazdową łączącą wszystkie stanowiska uprawy winorośli przyjęto główny ośrodek turystyczny, jakim jest Kraków. Dokonano inwentaryzacji winnic i opisu wybranych gospodarstw. Omówiono problemy komercjalizacji szlaku oraz szanse rozwoju winiarstwa i turystyki winiarskiej w regionie Małopolski. Sformułowano założenia do promocji szlaku.

In the article, wine tourism (enotourism) is presented as a form of cultural tourism. It serves as a background for the description of the process of creating a new tourism product, the cultural route “Wine Trail of Lesser Poland”. The article describes steps of creation of the route, which were developed by the Regional Development of Lesser Poland (MARR), Lesser Poland Association of Wine Forum and Polish Institute of Vine and Wine. The author of the article submitted a map of the trail, where Cracow (Krakow) as a major city of Lesser Poland (Małopolska) region occupies the central position. It also lists all the wineries. The article describes conditions for viticulture in Lesser Poland region, the route of the trail and selected vineyards, discusses the issues of commercialization of the route and opportunities for viticulture and wine tourism development in this region and, finally, it formulates the guidelines for the promotion of the trail.
