Teacher’s work makes great value, not only for shaping the young generation. It is the complex value that consists of many elements that are evaluated such as vocational duties and the attitudes to them, fulfilling the teachers’ functions, realization of professional goals, doing of pedagogical activities in the environment.

Artykuł dotyczy podstawowych elementów pracy nauczyciela. Obejmuje ona różne aspekty działalności w szkole, spełnianie obowiązków zawodowych, różne stosunki wobec pracy oraz te elementy opisu jego sylwetki zawodowej (np. wiedzy zawodowej m.in. jako znajomość zakresu wiedzy pedagogicznej niezbędnej do wykonywania działalności nauczycielskiej, wiedza o przedmiocie, uczeniu, wiedza o uczniu i o szkole), które pozwalają ocenić go jako pracownika i jako pedagoga. Przedstawiono też różne typy odpowiedzialności nauczyciela.

This article relates to basic functions of a teacher. Teacher’s work includes many aspects of activities at school, fulfilling obligations at job and attitudes towards work and elements that allow to evaluate his profile (among others the understanding the scope of pedagogic knowledge that is essential to perform teaching activity, knowledge about the subject, teaching, knowledge about the student and about the school). There are also presented different types of teacher’s responsibility

This article infuses the remit in the teacher’s work. They are described in reference to organi-zational culture. Amongst the types of remit occur computing remit. There are depicted mutual relations between computers. The level of organizational culture as well as the scope of possessed remit represent teacher’s attitude towards his job.
