W artykule przedstawiono rzeczywiste przyczyny katastrofalnie niskiej innowacyjności technologicznej w Polsce. Prezentowane oceny ilustrowane są danymi OECD i UE. Wśród głównych przyczyn autor wymienia m.in. niedostatek tanich kredytów na innowacje dla MSP, których udział w tworzeniu PKB wskazuje, że ta grupa firm może stać się czynnikiem decydującym o wyjściu Polski z zapaści w zakresie innowacyjności technologicznej, podobnie działa brak zwolnień podatkowych od zysków z wdrożonych innowacji; ale na pierwszym miejscu przyczyn omawianej zapaści autor stawia niewydolny narodowy system innowacji (NSI). Egzemplifikacja istoty struktury oraz funkcjonowania NSI została zaprezentowana na przykładzie Szwecji, kraju zajmującego czołową pozycję w międzynarodowych rankingach innowacyjności. W podsumowaniu artykułu przedstawione zostały sugestie dotyczące najważniejszych kierunków naprawy narodowego systemu innowacyjnego Polski.

This paper presents the real causes of catastrophic low technological innovation in Poland. The presented data evaluation are illustrated with the OECD and the EU. Among the main reasons the author mentions, among others, shortage of low-cost loans for innovation for SMEs, whose share in GDP indicates that this group of companies can become a factor for the collapse of Polish output of technological innovation, like running no tax exemption on profits innovations implemented, but the first reasons discussed collapse author puts inefficient national system of innovation (NIS). Exemplification of the essence, structure and functioning of the NIS was presented on the example of Sweden, a country and a leader in the international rankings of innovation. In conclusion, the article presents the suggestions on the most important trends repairs Polish national innovation system.
