Kariery akademickie kobiet w naukach technicznych. Przykład Mazowsza

The author of the article examines the academic careers of women, taking as a starting point the data presented in the report prepared under the project “Regional foresight for the universities of Warsaw and the Mazovia region «Academic Mazovia 2030»”. In the background of issues included in the project, academic career of women holding the title of Professor, or holding such a position in a Technical University, are presented. Interviews carried out by the author were focused around the following issues: motives for starting scientific work, key decisions for this career, obtained degrees and scientific titles and Professional activity of academics.

Autorka artykułu analizuje kariery akademickie kobiet, przyjmując za punkt wyjścia dane przedstawione w raporcie przygotowanym w ramach projektu „Foresight regionalny dla szkół wyższych Warszawy i Mazowsza «Akademickie Mazowsze 2030»”. Na tle uwzględnionych w projekcie zagadnień prezentowane są kariery akademickie kobiet posiadających tytuł profesora lub zajmujących takie stanowisko w uczelni technicznej. Wywiady przeprowadzone przez autorkę koncentrowały się wokół następujących kwestii: motywów podjęcia pracy naukowej, kluczowych decyzji dla tej kariery, uzyskanych stopni i tytułów naukowych oraz działalności zawodowej pracowników akademickich.

The presented text conceptually proceeds from the strategic and conception documents of the Czech Ministry of Education (MŠMT) and includes among the priority objectives primarily the openness to the new methods and manners of teaching by means of digital technologies, improvement of pupils’ competences of working with information and digital technologies and, last but not least, the development of pupils’ IT thinking. The motivation for secondary school students’ choice of technical bran-ches is regarded as a priority orientation of the contemporary school system in the Czech Republic.
