This article is addresses the discussion of utilizing regional texts for teaching foreigners, and whether jargon and dialects should figure as teachable elements. The author presents a few textbooks embodying regional culture connected to teaching Polish, as imagined by the new approach propagated by the School of Polish Language and Culture and the University of Silesia, wherein teaching Polish is affiliated with the province of Silesia.
