The aim of this paper is to analyse the differences between perceived family relationships by adolescents from migrant and nonmigrant families and their temperamental traits. In the study 152 adolescents participated, aged 18 years, who formed two groups: criterial and control group in each of them were 46 girls and 30 boys. The following measures were used in the study: Family Relationship Questionnaire (KRR) (Plopa, Połomski, 2008), Buss and Plomin EAS Temperament Questionnaire (Polish adaptation, Oniszczenko, 1997), interview questionnaire prepared by authors to collect demographic data and information about parent’s migration. The results of the study showed that girls from migrant families declare higher levels of sociability and fear, while the boys from families of this type are characterized by higher levels of anger. Moreover, results showed gender differences in perception of family relationships. It was found that girls from families with migrating father perceive a higher level of family communication, cohesion and family identity compared with boys from such families. Wybrane modele temperamentu osób dorosłych Temperament uważany jest za najbardziej biologiczną i stabilną część osobowości. Poznanie i zrozumienie własnego temperamentu wydaje się być niezbędne w dobrym funkcjonowaniu w relacjach międzyludzkich. Niniejszy artykuł analizuje wybrane teoretyczne modele temperamentu dorosłego człowieka. Zaprezentowane są w nim modele temperamentu takich wybitnych psychologów, jak Hans J. Eysenck, Jeffrey A. Gray, Marvin Zuckerman czy Albert Mehrabian. Ponadto w artykule przedstawiona jest teoria temperamen- talna polskiego badacza Jana Strelaua.

Models of adult temperament Temperament is considered the most biological and stable part of one’s personality. Cognition and understanding of your own temperament seems to be essential for good functioning in interpersonal relationships. This article analyzes the selected theoretical models of an adult persons temperament. It presents temperament models developed by such outstanding psychologists as Eysenck, Gray, Zuckerman and Mehrabian. In addition, the article presents the temperament theory of polish researcher Jan Strelau.

I questo articolo abbiamo presentato e analizzato alcuni modelli teorici sul tempera- mento adulto. Le teorie o i modelli che riguardano il temperamento sono varie e differisco- no tra di loro. Gli studiosi formulano diverse definizioni di temperamento e ognuna di esse propone un diverso numero e ruolo dei tratti, dimensioni o fattori. Comunque, ciascuno di noi porta nelle relazioni il proprio bagaglio genetico, la propria storia evolutiva, i propri vissuti, le esperienze, ovvero contribuisce ai rapporti con gli altri con tutto quello che e, e dunque anche con il temperamento; e importante, dunque, conoscere e capire il proprio temperamento, perche da questo puo dipendere la qualita della nostra vita. La compren- sione del proprio temperamento costituisce un passo importantissimo verso il migliora- mento del proprio funzionamento sociale.
