Chrześcijaństwo jest religią całego człowieka, a zatem nie tylko rozumu, lecz także serca, ufności i współczucia. Czułość i miłosierdzie Ojca objawiły się w pełni w Jezusie Chrystusie. Jest On wcieloną czułością Boga. W Jego zbawczej tajemnicy szczególny udział ma Jego Matka. Macierzyńskie ciepło Maryi inspiruje w Kościele rewolucję miłości rozpoczętą przez Jej Syna. Tam gdzie jest Matka, tam jest czułość. Patrząc na Nią, odkrywamy najbardziej czułe oblicze Kościoła i wierzymy w rewolucyjną moc czułości i miłości. Można zatem mówić o maryjnych odcieniach chrześcijańskiej serdeczności. Niniejszy artykuł omawia je w ujęciu papieża Franciszka, który poświęca im sporo miejsca w nauczaniu o Maryi. Pierwszy punkt charakteryzuje serdeczne towarzyszenie Maryi Chrystusowi i napotkanym bliźnim podczas Jego zbawczych misteriów. Drugi punkt koncentruje się na wzorczości Maryi, aby wykazać, w jaki konkretnie sposób zachęca nas Ona do kroczenia drogą chrześcijańskiej serdeczności. Trzeci – dotyczy Jej macierzyńskiego zatroskania o nas, na które odpowiadamy postawą synowskiego zawierzenia.

Christianity is a religion of the whole man, thus it is not just about reason, but about heart, trust, and compassion as well. The Father’s tenderness and mercy fully manifested themselves in Jesus Christ. He is God’s tenderness incarnate. His Mother takes part in His salvific mystery. Mary’s motherly warmth inspires a revolution of love in the Church, begun by Her Son. Where the Mother is, tenderness is too. By looking at Her, we discover the tenderest image of the Church, and we believe in the revolutionary power of tenderness and love. Thus we can talk about Marian shades of Christian cordiality. The present article discusses this issue according to Pope Francis, who devotes a lot of attention to this aspect in his teaching on Mary. The first chapter characterizes Mary’s cordial companionship with Jesus and all encountered neighbors during His salvific mysteries. The second chapter focuses on Mary’s qualities as a model in order to demonstrate her encouragement for us to follow the path of Christian cordiality. The third chapter deals with Her maternal concern for us, which requires our filial trust.

This paper outlines the history and modern usages of the concept of “tenderness” in Polish literary criticism. It introduces the genealogy and origins in the esthetics of sentimentalism, along with its romantic modifications and its place in Polish literature and modern criticism. Modern usages of tenderness in national literary criticism have been discussed, followed by the analysis of the notions of “tenderness” and “the tender narrator” from Olga Tokarczuk’s Nobel Prize speech. The final part focuses on selected examples of international reception, which combines tenderness with eco-criticism and issues of world literature.

Artykuł omawia historię i współczesność użyć pojęcia „czułość” w polskiej krytyce literackiej. Przedstawiona została genealogia pojęcia, jego pochodzenie z estetyki sentymentalizmu, modyfikacje romantyczne i obecność w polskiej literaturze i krytyce nowoczesnej. Ukazano wielość współczesnych użyć czułości w rodzimej krytyce literackiej, po czym poddane zostały analizie „czułość” i „czuły narrator” z mowy noblowskiej Olgi Tokarczuk. W ostatniej części ukazane zostały wybrane przykłady z recepcji światowej, gdzie czułość łączona jest z ekokrytyką i problematyką literatury światowej.

This article explores Małgorzata Lebda’s poetry (Sprawy ziemi, Mer de Glace) with a focus on representations of the body and physicality. The experience of illness, death, and woundedness, all stigmatized in the poems, becomes a starting point for analysis and interpretation. The paper also addresses three major aspects of these poems: the child’s initiation into the world through acquiring the wound, the carnal human-animal communion, and grief after the death of one’s mother. Sensitivity to woundedness becomes the foundation of care in Lebda’s poetry.

Artykuł stanowi próbę lektury poezji Małgorzaty Lebdy ("Sprawy ziemi", "Mer de Glace") skoncentrowanej na obrazach ciała i cielesności. Stematyzowane w wierszach doświadczenie choroby, śmierci i naznaczenia raną stanie się punktem wyjścia do działań analityczno-interpretacyjnych. Artykuł skupi się na trzech ważnych w tej poezji tematach: dziecięcej inicjacji w świat poprzez ranę, cielesnej wspólnocie ludzko-zwierzęcej oraz żałobie po śmierci matki. Ukazane zostanie także, że wyczulenie na ranliwość staje się u Lebdy fundamentem troski.
