The article makes an attempt at discussing a mediaeval document (the foundation charter of Lublin) in genealogic aspect – as one o the genres of chancellor’s style. It draws upon the information from many fields of knowledge: diplomacy, history, theory of literature, onomastics as well as the elements of the law. The object of analyses have been the petrified documentary formulas (invocation, intitulation, preamble, promulgation, narration, disposition, dating, testing, corroboration, scriptural formula), of which the mediaeval diploma was composed, and whose presence and sequence of occurrence attest to the features of chancellor’s style. Another characteristic feature of the studied chancellor’s form of expression are the onomastic data determining the studied text in structural, pragmatic, cognitive and stylistic order and constituting its initial and final compositional frame.

The article discusses Przyjacielskie rady [Friendly exegesis] by the Rev. Zygmunt Szczęsny Feliński as it was noted down by the seminarian Henryk Kulwanowski. The author presents the contents of the considerations included in the book: the priest’s reaction to particular situations and the role of the Catholic Church in the social and political circumstances in the Russian Partition. Great sounding rhetoric with real substance represented by the preacher is recognized and is further evidenced by the discussion on the structural composition of the text and various interesting argumentative and persuasive techniques employed by Feliński.

The article shows genre transformation on the basis of chosen texts about fashion. The author followed through the compositional formation of texts about fashion, published in women lifestyle magazines from 19th  through 20th to 21st century. Taking into consideration pragmatic aspect, texts about fashion adapt genre indicators such as correspondence, column, story, review or advertisement. However, the genre identification should not be absolutized. The analysis of genre strings, with particular consideration of architectonics of the texts, shows that typical for contemporary magazines layouts – genres in the form of collection, composed of references (affiliated with iconographical material) are not editorial novelty. They have a long tradition, on the contrary. Another difference, according to the contemporary times, is genre richness of texts about fashion. Two schemes decided about the form of texts in the past: the genre in the form of collection that was composed of references and collection of genres with the domination of correspondence.

Artykuł przedstawia przeobrażenia gatunkowe wybranych tekstów dotyczących mody. Autorka prześledziła ukształtowanie kompozycyjne materiałów ukazujących się w prasie kobiecej od wieku XIX, przez wiek XX, aż do współczesności. W aspekcie pragmatycznym publikacje modowe adaptują wyznaczniki gatunkowe korespondencji, felietonu, relacji, recenzji czy reklamy. Nie można jednak tej generycznej identyfikacji absolutyzować. Analiza ciągów gatunkowych ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem architektoniki realizujących je tekstów pokazuje, że typowe dla współczesnej prasy układy, czyli gatunki w formie kolekcji złożone ze wzmianek (stowarzyszonych z materiałem ikonograficznym) nie są redakcyjną nowością. Wprost przeciwnie – mają długą tradycję. Kolejna różnica w stosunku do współczesności dotyczy bogactwa genologicznego tekstów o modzie. W przeszłości o ich ukształtowaniu decydowały dwa schematy: gatunek w formie kolekcji złożony ze wzmianek oraz kolekcja gatunków z dominującą korespondencją.

Kwestia analizy i interpretacji tekstu poetyckiego, jego sposobu funkcjonowania w rzeczywistości szkolnej, stanowi przedmiot zainteresowania badaczy już od połowy XX w. W jaki sposób analizują i interpretują teksty uczniowie na różnych etapach kształcenia, jakie metody i techniki interpretacyjne stosują, by odnaleźć sens utworu – to podstawowe problemy rozwijane w artykule. W analizie prac uczniów szkół podstawowych, gimnazjów i szkół ponadgimnazjalnych wyróżniono metody pracy z tekstem poetyckim właściwe dla młodzieży uczącej się na danym etapie kształcenia. Analiza zabranego materiału badawczego prowadzi do wniosku, że prawie każda z tych metod obecna jest na każdym etapie kształcenia, a różnice w jej zastosowaniu wiążą się z częstotliwością, kontekstem i zawartością przedstawianych w interpretacji treści.

The question of analysis and interpretation of poems, as they function in school reality, has been the subject of research since the mid-twentieth century. How students analyse and interpret poems and what methods and techniques of interpretation they apply to understand poems are the subject of this article. Based on the work of students of primary, lower secondary and upper secondary schools the researcher tries to discover the methods used by young people in the interpretation of the poem. Almost every method was discovered in all schools and differences were related to frequency, method and content of interpretation.

The aim of this article is to make a short and a practical introduction to the Biblical and Semitic Rhetorical analysis. It begins with a brief historical overview of the development of this biblical approach starting from its founders focus on their discovery of key elements of rhetorical compositions found in the Bible like parallelismus membrorum, parallel and concentric compositions. In the second part of this article the author show how those rhetorical compositions function on various levels of composition starting with small textual units and ending with textual large. In the last part the author give some hints on how to interpret the text taking into consideration its composition and the biblical context. The article concludes with a sample of rhetorical analysis of an Islamic prayer and its comparison with the Lord’s Prayer.

Celem tego artykułu jest krótkie oraz praktyczne wprowadzenie do analizy retoryki biblijnej oraz semickiej. Rozpoczyna się od krótkiej historycznej prezentacji rozwoju tej metody biblijnej, poczynając od założycieli tej metody, skupiając się na odkrytych przez nich kluczowych elementach retorycznych kompozycji znajdujących się w Piśmie Św. takich jak parallelismus membrorum, kompozycje równoległe oraz koncentryczne. W drugiej części tego artykułu autor ukazuje, jak owe kompozycje retoryczne funkcjonują na różnych poziomach kompozycji, poczynając od małych jednostek literackich, a kończąc na dużych jednostkach literackich. W ostatniej części autor podaje parę wskazówek, jak interpretować tekst, biorąc pod uwagę jego kompozycje oraz kontekst biblijny. Artykuł kończy się przykładem modlitwy muzułmańskiej oraz jej porównaniem z Modlitwą Pańską.
