he publication takes up the issue of the status of the Polish filiation law with an indica-tion of potential controversial issues associated with this legal regulation. First, an attempt to assess the current rules of consanguinity and affinity is made. Despite the amendment of the Family and Guardianship Code, not all ambiguity in this regard has been removed. There are still doubts in determining the number of births that are essential to the formation of a con-sanguinity relationship or taken into consideration when determining the degree of affinity. Then the subject of determining motherhood was taken up, which in the opinion of the author will require refinement in relation to at least some techniques of artificial support for natural human procreation. The last part of the publication refers to doubts concerning the current way of regulating paternity of the child which lead to de lege ferenda conclusions in this re-gard

Publikacja podejmuje zagadnienie stanu polskiego prawa filiacyjnego ze wskazaniem potencjal-nych kwestii kontrowersyjnych wiążących się z tą regulacją prawną. W pierwszej kolejności podjęto próbę oceny aktualnego uregulowania pokrewieństwa i powinowactwa. (Pomimo nowe-lizacji Kodeksu rodzinnego i opiekuńczego nie usunięto wszystkich niejasności w tym zakresie. Nadal rodzą się wątpliwości przy ustaleniu liczby urodzeń, które są niezbędne do powstania stosunku pokrewieństwa lub branych pod rozwagę przy ustalaniu stopnia powinowactwa). Na-stępnie podjęto tematykę ustalania macierzyństwa, która – w odczuciu autora – będzie wymaga-ła uszczegółowienia w odniesieniu do niektórych co najmniej technik sztucznego wspomagania naturalnej ludzkiej prokreacji. Ostatnia część publikacji odnosi się do wątpliwości dotyczących aktualnego sposobu uregulowania ustalenia ojcostwa dziecka, które prowadzą do wniosków de lege ferenda w tym zakresie.
