When the Communists took power in Poland they began to create different barriers to the development of the Catholic Church in Poland. This article presents the attitude of the State authorities regarding church architecture and the creating new parish in Radom and the Radom district from 1945-1975. The State authorities created many obstacles in this area. As a result, the completion of three churches, the rebuilding of two churches damaged during the war, the building of five new churches and four chapels. The State authorities agreed to the erection of only eight new parishes. After 1957 years they permitted the building of only one church.

Kiedy komuniści przejęli władzę w Polsce zaczęli stwarzać różne bariery dla rozwoju Kościoła katolickiego w Polsce. Prezentowany artykuł przedstawia stosunek władz pań-stwowych do budownictwa kościelnego i tworzenia nowych parafii w Radomiu i powiecie radomskich w latach 1945-1975. Władze stwarzały na tym polu wiele przeszkód. W rezul-tacie udało się dokończyć budowę trzech kościołów, odbudować dwa, zniszczone w czasie wojny, wybudować pięć nowych oraz cztery kaplice. Władze państwowe zgodziły się na erygowanie ośmiu nowych parafii. Po 1957 roku uzyskano zgodę na budowę tylko jednego kościoła.
