b_The author points out in the article some links between the citizenship granting process and the State duty to guarantee national security and safety in its territory. She initiates discussion amongst professional public by asking the question whether the extent of control of intelligence services is adequate as well as whether there is a scope for systematic misusing of the discretionary authority by administrative bodies during the process of granting the Czech citizenship.

a_Autorka v článku upozorňuje na některé souvislosti procesu udělování státního občanství s povinností státu zajistit bezpečnost na svém území. Překládá k diskusi odborné veřejnosti otázku, zda je míra kontroly zpravodajských služeb nastavena dostatečně a zda jsou namístě pochybnosti o tom, je-li dán v celém procesu udělování občanství systémově prostor pro libovůli úřadů.
