Artykuł jest opisem badań dotyczących przyczyn podejmowania konsekwentnych decyzji kobiet – ofiar przemocy domowej o odejściu od męża-sprawcy. Grupę badaną stanowiło 59 kobiet, będących w fazie wczesnej bądź średniej dorosłości. W przeprowadzonych badaniach stwierdzono, że niektóre zmienne demograficzne i środowiskowe, tj. młodszy wiek, wyższe wykształcenie, krótki staż małżeński, wsparcie przyjaciół, mają korzystny wpływ na przebieg procesu decyzyjnego. Nadto przebieg procesu decyzyjnego jest bardziej konsekwentny u kobiet o wysokim poczuciu własnej skuteczności.

The following article is an account of research on the causes of consistent decision-making of women – victims of domestic violence to leave her husband – the perpetrator. Study group consisted of 59 women who are in the early phase of adulthood or middle. In this study, it was found that certain demographic and environmental variables, such as younger age, higher education, short internship marriage, having the support of friends, have a positive impact on the decision-making process. Moreover, the process of decision-making is more consistent in women with a high sense of self-efficacy.
