The article presents the determinants of Ukrainian citizens’ tourist trips to Poland. It is a research work. The considerations have been based mainly on the results of research conducted by the author in Krakow in 2013 among Ukrainian tourists, along with her professional experience. The issues of Ukrainian tourist arrivals to Poland are taken up relatively rarely in the national literature. Therefore, the key objective of developing the research was to fill the gap. In the first part of the article, the tourist attractiveness of the country as a determinant of tourist trips is highlighted. Then, Ukrainian tourist arrivals to Poland in 2001 – 2012 are discussed. Works of Ukrainian researchers dealing with foreign trips made by the people of this country to Poland are cited. The core of the discussion and the characteristic of the methodology of own research and the socio – demographic structure of the surveyed sample are presented along with a discussion of the determinants of the respondents’ travel to Poland. As a result of the analysis of the research material it was established that there is a statistical relationship between the perception of the attractiveness of Poland and the tourists’ level of education.
