This article discusses the economic and cultural activities of Princes Janusz I of Warsaw and Siemowit IV, who reigned in Mazovia at the turn of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. Details of the most important elements of the economy of Mazovia, such as the finances of Mazovia, tax related issues and the dependencies of the population of the prince. It discusses the roads and trade routes running through the lands of Mazovia and locations of cities under German law and administrative offices and prince’s trade policy. In terms of cultural activities associated with Janusz I of Warsaw and Siemoit IV, it describes the structure and activities of the office of princes and what’s involved princely titulary, emblems and seals of both princes. Also discussed are the prince’s influence and activities in the field of architecture and construction in the lands of Mazovia.
