The aims of this paper are the following: 1. To provide an overview of the fundamental aspects to be taken into account when carrying out and interpreting sports participation surveys; 2. To put forward an explanation of sports behavior; and 3. To suggest how these results may be used in intervention programs. Having gone over the literature in this field, I shall go on to address the following points: the definition of sports; trend analysis or the illusion of transparency; analysis of inequalities; identifying difference and individualization; and examining typologies to better understand each social group. I shall conclude with suggestions for sports policies.

The problem of money laundering has received increased attention in recent years. Currently, other standards, which have been developed in accordance with the latest technologies, are applied in the investigation of money laundering cases. The leading countries studying money laundering are the United States, Switzerland, Australia, China, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. The topicality of the research is based on the lack of scientific theoretical foundations in the field of anti-money laundering and the application of methods and techniques for investigating money laundering in practice. The article provides the definition and stages of money laundering and explains the stand-alone (autonomous) money laundering. Particular attention is paid to the money laundering typologies for the investigation of stand alone money laundering, including the methodological recommendations developed by the Financial Intelligence Unit of Latvia in 2020 which are adapted to national circumstances. The authors describe a number of important events in Latvia in the fight against money laundering in the country that influenced further developments in this area: changes in legislation and in the investigative approach, and professional and scientific interest in this topic. The article examines the economic and social aspects of money laundering, which have so far not received sufficient attention in informing the public about the negative impact of money laundering. The novelty of the research is presented as an extension of the scientific theoretical basis for more effective money laundering investigation and examining a new approach to money laundering investigation based on typologies. The authors, using the results of an empirical study of typologies developed by the Financial Intelligence Unit, present the results of their application based on six criminal proceedings on money laundering. The results of the pilot project show that the set of features of the developed typologies mainly corresponds to the specific typology identified by the investigators themselves. The study shows the possibility of applying typologies in practice, which is especially valuable in cases of autonomous money laundering, where there is no direct evidence of a predicate offense. The research methods include bibliometric research, historical analogy method, conceptual analysis, comparative analysis and synthesis method, and graphical method.

W dziedzinie badań poświęconych teorii reżimów występuje znaczne zróżnicowanie podejść oraz typologii stawiających sobie za cel wyjaśnienie dynamicznie zmieniającej się rzeczywistości. Zamierzeniem autora niniejszego artykułu było zaproponowanie własnej typologii obejmującej istniejące już typologie, co z kolei posłużyło do opisania i analizy wartości badawczej tychże typologii oraz powiązanych z nimi baz danych. Pozwoliło to na wskazanie relacji między opisanymi typologiami i określenie ich miejsca we właściwych im polach badawczych. Celem tego działania jest dokonanie refleksji nad stosowalnością poszczególnych typologii, pokazanie ich ograniczeń oraz ułatwienie wyboru między nimi badaczom zajmującym się analizą procesów demokratycznych oraz teorią reżimów politycznych, z zastosowaniem zarówno jakościowych, jak i ilościowych metod badawczych.

The research field of regime theory has seen a proliferation of different approaches and typologies to explain the ever-changing reality. This paper has created a typology of these regime typologies and their respective datasets in order to describe and analyze their various merits for research. Finally this paper maps various typologies according to their most common research areas. The aim is to maximize the application potential each of specific typology, highlight their limits and aid scholars in their selection of typologies for qualitative or quantitative research in order to get a better understanding of democratization processes or regime theories.

The publication hows the academic interests, research and views of Kazimierz Wojciechowski on education and related areas. The presentation of different items from the author’s work takes into consideration numerous contexts and the present perspective. The analysis of Kazimierz Wojciechowski’s achievements shows a broad spectrum of issues undertaken and the emphasis on the ideological aspect of educational issues. It shows the increase of knowledge, the development of methodologies and changes in approach to education.
