The article uses source materials to present the situation of the family of Stanisław Kazimierz Kruszyński, a noble living with his relatives in Lower Łąkta in Lesser Poland. The sylwa stored in the collection of Ossolineum in Wroclaw, contains several messages about children. These are notes speaking of the birth of subsequent children, the place and circumstances of their baptism. We also have a poem written by a mother after the death of her youngest children. And above all same, recommendations for the education of sons to be found in the will and the supplement to it. They had to study at the Piarist college in Podoliniec and then practice at the office. These few preserved sources provide us with information about family life and attitudes towards children in the early 18th century.

The socio-cultural transformations of recent decades are very intense. They concern the most fundamental aspects of human existence: the meaning and purpose of life, the concept of happiness, interpersonal relationships, the model of society and family life. The events of recent years that have appeared in the landscape of Polish streets (so-called “equality marches”) and the Polish school (e.g. “rainbow Friday”, sex education classes run by LGBT activists) require a thorough diagnosis of this phenomenon and formulating adequate answers meeting new challenges. The family is a sensitive resonator of social and cultural processes in post-modernity. In todayʼs family as a basic social group there are changes that cause concern. Their revolutionary nature results from the questioning of undeniable values until recently, such as the irreplaceable role of the family in raising children, love, responsibility and faithfulness. Questions arise about the consequences of cultural changes in post-modernity for the functioning of marriage and family. Gender ideology is a consequence of losing the right ontological and metaphysical perspective. The gender impact opens the way to the destruction of the foundations of marriage and family as well as interpersonal relationships. A new anti-pedagogy arises on the basis of the gender vision of the world, for which the theory of education consists in rejecting authority, discipline, a permanent system of values, the need to work on one's own character and making any requirements.

In the presented article the main point concerns the role and meaning of new technologies which are involved in the socialization, the upbringing and education of children. The intent of this article is to indicate the necessity of planned and intentional preventive actions which are taken by both parents and the whole family environment. New technologies are already present in the process of bringing children and teenagers up. It remains to develop them effectively and to include them into this process, minimizing their adverse effects. The article is also presenting findings of parents taken on the group of children at the age of 7 -12.  They have been divided in two groups, of parents of children with psychological disorders and without these disorders. Both groups clearly differ between themselves as regards the scope of noticed Internet threats. Parents still need help and they want to cooperate with some specialist to support their children to be active and save in virtual reality.

W prezentowanym artykule podjęto rozważania dotyczące roli i znaczenia tzw. nowych technologii w procesie socjalizacji, wychowania oraz edukacji dzieci i młodzieży. Celem tekstu jest zwrócenie uwagi na konieczność podejmowania zaplanowanych i celowych działań profilaktycznych przez środowisko rodzinne, jak również na efektywne zagospodarowanie tzw. nowych technologii, które są już na stałe obecne w naszej rzeczywistości społecznej w procesie edukacji uczniów, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem dzieci posiadających orzeczenie o stopniu niepełnosprawności. Rodzice wspierając naturalną potrzebę poznawania świata przez swoje dzieci oraz ich ciekawość poznawczą, aby zrozumieć otaczające je zjawiska, potrzebują wsparcia w tym niełatwym dla nich zadaniu. Artykuł prezentuje również wyniki badań przeprowadzonych na grupie rodziców dzieci w wieku 7–12 lat. Badanych podzielono na dwie grupy, rodziców dzieci posiadających orzeczenia o potrzebie kształcenia specjalnego z uwagi na różne dysfunkcje psychiczne oraz nieposiadających takiego orzeczenia. Obie grupy rozmówców różnią się między sobą, jeśli chodzi o zakres dostrzeganych internetowych zagrożeń. Szerszy obraz tego zjawiska wyłaniał się z narracji dorosłych wychowujących dzieci posiadające orzeczenia, co wskazuje na potrzebę wyrównywania szans i dotrzymania kroku pełnosprawnym rówieśnikom, stwarza przy tym jednak liczne trudności w tym niełatwym już i tak procesie wychowawczym dziecka z zaburzeniami w rozwoju.
