The subject of the article is the influence of the electronic reality on the linguistic behavior of contemporary Poles. It gives rise to stylistic ideas which were impossible still 20 or 25 years ago. The author feels these phenomena are the most fascinating research field of stylistics and language use.

In my article, I formulate and describe the demand to remove the term obyczajność (propriety) from the Penal Code. In the course of the analysis, I will attempt to prove that its presence in the Act is an example of cultivating a terminological tradition that dates back to the partitions period and was started for a reason that is currently outdated – the general language was insufficient to describe sexual crimes. I also show that due to the discrepancy between the general and legal language, the use of the term obyczajność may mislead a non-professional interpreter of a legal text. The text concludes with a more precise description of the titular demand, i.e. a proposal to change the title of Chapter 25 of the Penal Code.

The article is a review and a short commentary on texts about normativity collected in a section called “Normativity. Update” and published in one of the issues of the “Avant” journal. The author tries to show that the often differentiated orders of thinking about normativity – moral and non-moral, at the level of human practices are closely related. The main purpose of the article is to explicitly enumerate and comment on the updating of the normativity approach proposed by scholars publishing in “Avant” journal.

Artykuł jest recenzją i krótkim komentarzem do tekstów dotyczących normatywności i zebranych w dziale nazwanym „Normatywność. ‘Update’” i opublikowanych w jednym z numerów czasopisma „Avant”. Autor stara się wykazać, że często rozróżniane porządki myślenia o normatywności – moralny i pozamoralny, na poziomie ludzkich praktyk są ze sobą ściśle powiązane. Głównym celem artykułu jest wyraźne wyłuszczenie i skomentowanie aktualizacji podejścia do normatywności proponowanych przez publikujących w „Avancie” badaczy.
