On Selected Aspects of the (In)Validity of “Evaluation” of the Reformed Higher Education

In the paper, there was undertaken an analysis of the validity of “evaluation” of the reformed higher education in accordance with Samuel Messick’s concept of unitary validity. The analysis was conducted through the prism of: (A) theoretical grounding of the evaluation of scientific and didactic work; (B) adequacy and usability of evaluative studies; (C) several axiological aspects of external evaluation; (D) social consequences of that evaluation. Taking a critical perspective at the analysis carried out showed (some) possible effects of the measurement of quality being introduced to college such as: (a) giving away the liberty of academic world into the captivity of parametrization; (b) instrumentalization and disciplining of scientists and their objectification; (c) extension of the space of academic pretence.

W opracowaniu podjęto analizę trafności „ewaluacji” reformowanego szkolnictwa wyższego i zgodnie z koncepcją unitarnej trafności Samuela Messicka dokonano jej pod kątem: (A) ugruntowania teoretycznego ewaluacji pracy naukowej i dydaktycznej; (B) stosowności i użyteczności badań ewaluacyjnych; (C) niektórych aksjologicznych aspektów ewaluacji zewnętrznej; (D) społecznych konsekwencji tej ewaluacji. Obranie krytycznej perspektywy prowadzonej analizy ukazało (niektóre) potencjalne skutki wprowadzania na uczelnię pomiaru jakości, takie jak: (a) oddawanie wolności uniwersyteckiego świata nauki w niewolę parametryzacji; (b) instrumentalizacja i dyscyplinowanie naukowców oraz ich uprzedmiotowienie; (c) rozrastanie się przestrzeni uczelnianego pozoru
