Turkish advertisements in the form of a case study to determine which factors seem to play the most important role in terms of viral marketing message perception in Turkey. As a country in which the increasing role of digital media and the internet is beginning to dominate interpersonal communication, the use of viral approach in marketing is also growing. The examples of most viral videos in Turkey from the previous years confi rm that the most important factor which determines the success of a viral message is its content, which should be at the same time attention-catching and entertaining. Nevertheless, the seeding strategy is the factor which accelerates the success of viral messages.
Due to the rapid growth of the Internet and use of e-commerce in the recent years, viral marketing has drawn the attention of manufacturing and service organizations. However, no research has been conducted to examine the impact of message appeal and message source credibility on consumers’ attitude with mediating role of intellectual involvement of consumers and their risk taking level. The aim of this study was to examine the impact of appeal and message source credibility on consumers’ attitude with mediating role of consumers’ intellectual involvement and their risk taking level. The population of this study includes consumers of mobile phones (Samsung, Sony, Nokia, LG and iPhone) in the Bushehr city (Iran). As the population of the study is unlimited, 430 questionnaires were distributed using available sampling method, and 391 questionnaires were collected and analyzed. Using structural equation modeling, we analysed the data through smart PLS software. The results show that the appeal and credibility of the message source impact the consumer attitudes toward the brand. We also found that the intellectual involvement of consumers plays the mediating role in the relationship between message appeal and consumer attitudes toward brands. In the relationship between message source credibility and customer attitude towards the brand, the level of risk taking of people has no mediating role.
Sposoby zaangażowania odbiorcy w dyskurs medialny, towarzyszący działaniom promocyjnym filmu – rozumianego w kategorii produktu marketingowego − można prześledzić na przykładzie dwóch filmów – Blair Witch Project i Mrocznego rycerza.

The popular trend that can be observed in the film promotion since 1997 is activating viewers and ennobled them to the rank of creators, having a real impact on the storyline or “insiders” – people who know more about the new production through the information that appears on different media platforms. Ways to engage the recipient in the media discourse, accompanying promotional activities for the film – understood in the category of marketing product – can be traced back to the example of two movies – The Blair Witch Project and The Dark Knight, which − due to an innovative approach to the subject of promotion and engage potential viewers – materialized as unusual in compared to traditional marketing, contributing to the spectacular box office success, acquiring new recipients, creating or expanding existing film fan clubs and to changes in film marketing, which today extends or reinterpreted these schemes of immersion.
Artykuł stanowi wkład w wiedzę dotyczącą transmisji WoM (Word of Mouth) w sieciach społecznościowych (OSN).

This paper is a contribution to the knowledge of WoM transmission on OSN. We specifically analyze the role of the seeding population diffusion of negative WoM. The method is based on an experiment on the Facebook fan base of an existing company. We manage to control the four elements of a successful WoM communication: the message, the social structure of the network, the characteristics of the individuals in the network, and the seeding population. We develop an original method to dissociate a seeding population from the general population and compare the diffusion of a set of negative messages distributed to both the original population and the artificially targeted subset. Results show the impact of the seeding population’s characteristics on the diffusion of consumers’ negative messages. We specifically show the impact of the carrier on the virality of the message.
