W artykule dokonano ogólnej charakterystyki kolejnej rewolucji naukowo-technicznej określanej mianem czwartej rewolucji przemysłowej, która w bieżącej dekadzie zostaje praktycznie wdrażana w systemy gospodarcze wiodących krajów świata. Również polska gospodarka przygotowywana jest do implementacji innowacyjnych technologii zgodnych z tą nową koncepcją. Ogromny wpływ na powodzenie tego procesu ma przygotowanie i doskonalenie kadr pracowniczych – reforma polskiego systemu kształcenia i szkolenia zawodowego.

This article gives an overview about the next scientific and technological revolution, known as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which is practically implemented in the current decade in the economic systems of the leading countries of the world. The Polish economy is also preparing to implement innovative technologies in line with this new concept. The preparation and improve-ment of staffing – the reform of the Polish education and vocational training system has greatly influenced the success of this process.
