Atlas języka i kultury Żydów aszkenazyjskich „Language and Culture Archive of Ashkenazic Jewry” (LCAAJ, 1959–1972) Uriela Weinreicha stanowi niepowtarzalny rejestr nagrań audiolingwalnych oraz transkrypcji wywiadów z rodzimymi użytkownikami języka jidysz, których różnorodność reprezentują byłe dialekty występujące przed i w trakcie zagłady. Artykuł ukazuje, w jaki sposób rejestr danych LCAAJ może zostać wykorzystany do opisu gramatyki języka jidysz. Na przykładzie szyku zdania z przedrostkami odczasownikowymi rozdzielnymi wykazano, że analizy dialektyczno-syntaktyczne niekoniecznie muszą wykazywać (geograficzną) różnorodność, aby posiadać lingwistyczne znaczenie.

Uriel Weinreich’s atlas project the “Language and Culture Archive of Ashkenazic Jewry” (LCAAJ, 1959–1972) has created an unique dataset of audio recordings and transcripts of interviews with Yiddish speakers whose varieties represent the former dialects from before the Shoah. This paper shows how the LCAAJ’s written materials can be used to describe the Yiddish grammar. Taking the example of word order of separable verb particles it shows that dialect-syntactic analyses do not have to show inevitably (geographical) variation to have linguistic relevance.

Uriel Weinreichs Atlasprojekt ‚Language and Culture Archive of Ashkenazic Jewry‘ (LCAAJ, 1959–1972) hat einen einzigartigen Datensatz von Audioaufnahmen und Transkripten von Interviews mit jiddischen Sprechern geschaffen, deren Varietäten die mittlerweile größtenteils untergegangenen Dialekte von vor der Shoah repräsentieren. Der Beitrag zeigt, wie die schriftlichen Materialien der LCAAJ zur Beschreibung der jiddischen Grammatik verwendet werden können. Am Beispiel der Wortstellung von trennbaren Verbpartikeln zeigt sich, dass dialekt-syntaktische Analysen nicht zwangsläufig (geografische) Variationen aufweisen müssen, um linguistische Relevanz zu haben.
