It is crucial to understand the religious ideas among youth, to set up the adequate pastoral practice. The study presents current trends in the measurement of religiosity and the perception of religion among public. At the same time, it deals with the research focused on the religiosity among youth in Slovakia and the Netherlands. The research is based on quantitative data and in the same time on result of focus groups in both countries. In addition to evaluation of selected indicators of the research sample, the study presents some differences in religiosity among youth.

Konieczne jest poznanie poglądów młodzieży na sprawy dotyczące religii, żeby opracować adekwatne duszpasterstwo. W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono aktualne trendy w pomiarach religijności i postrzegania religii w społeczeństwie. Jednocześnie przedstawiono wyniki badań religijności przeprowadzone wśród młodzieży na Słowacji i w Holandii. Zaprezentowane analizy opierają się na danych ilościowych oraz na wynikach badań grup fokusowych w obu krajach. Oprócz oceny wybranych wskaźników, uzyskanych w badaniach, przedstawiono także pewne różnice w religijności młodzieży.

The article reflects upon the religious values and ritual orientations of the contemporary youth in the context of their mutual connections and implications. For this purpose, the results of the author´s empirical research conducted at the end of the first decade the 21st century among the high school seniors from the Świętokrzyskie region have been invoked. The religious values (sacrum) have less significance for young people in comparison with other axiological issues (the groups of values). The features of a “ritual personality” are more often displayed by the female students, believers and deep believers, those who systematically participate in religious practices, students coming from small local environments. It seems that the civilization transformations in Poland weaken the influence of traditional institutions of religious socialization. Moreover, the cult involvement in the youth environment rarely grows deeper. However, the ritual orientations acquired in the time of primary socialization constitute a “conveyor belt” for the participation in different types of rituals. The lack of such competence makes it difficult to experience the “unusual.”

W artykule podjęto refleksję na temat wartości religijnych i orientacji rytualnych współczesnej młodzieży, w kontekście ich wzajemnych związków i implikacji. W tym celu odwołano się do wybranych rezultatów autorskich badań empirycznych, przeprowadzonych pod koniec pierwszej dekady XXI wieku, wśród młodzieży maturalnej województwa świętokrzyskiego. Wartości religijne (sacrum) posiadają mniejsze znaczenie dla młodych, w porównaniu z innymi treściami aksjologicznymi (grupami wartości). Cechy „osobowości rytualnej” częściej przejawiają dziewczęta, osoby wierzące, głęboko wierzące i systematycznie praktykujące, pochodzące raczej z mniejszych środowisk lokalnych. Wydaje się, że zachodzące w Polsce przemiany cywilizacyjne osłabiają wpływ tradycyjnych instytucji socjalizacji religijnej, znacznie rzadziej wywołując pogłębienie zaangażowania kultowego w środowisku młodzieżowym. Niemniej, orientacje rytualne nabyte w okresie socjalizacji pierwotnej stanowią „pas transmisyjny” dla uczestniczenia w różnego typu rytuałach. Brak takich kompetencji utrudnia przeżywanie „tego, co niecodzienne”.

Niesie on ze sobą wiele zmian w życiu dziecka osobistym, rodzinnym i szkolnym. Niniejszy artykuł jest próbą odpowiedzi na pytanie:, w jaki sposób wartości religijne poszerzają przestrzeń aksjologiczną małego dziecka? W kontekście tego ogólnego pytania zostały sformułowane pytania szczegółowe: w jaki sposób nauczanie religii w edukacji wczesnoszkolnej wprowadza dziecko w świat tych wartości? jaka jest rola nauczyciela na tym etapie edukacyjnym w poszerzaniu przestrzeni aksjologicznej?

The time of early education of a child in school is a time of intense intellectual and spiritual work. It carries a lot of changes in the child’s personal, family and school life. This article is giving the attention to the problem of values in the child’s life. It is also an attempt to answer the following questions: how does the time of early education introduce a child in early school age to the world of religious values, what is the role of the family and teachers during this period.

W artykule zostały omówione zasady moralne etyki chrześcijańskiej, które określają ponadczasowe religijne wartości, jakimi są umiłowanie bliźniego oraz poczucie jedności z ludźmi i światem. Autor podkreśla, iż właśnie normy moralne chrześcijaństwa są przesłanką do formułowania humanistycznych tez dotyczących istnienia ludzkiej wspólnoty, etyczną podstawą komunikacji interpersonalnej, a także niezbędnym warunkiem do osiągnięcia sukcesu w działalności gospodarczej.

In the article it is investigated moral principles of the Christian ethics which reflect the ancient religion values of love to near people, the unity of people with the world. Moral and ethic norms of the Christianity are the prerequisites of the formation of human standards of mankind and ethic basis of business communication, the key to success in business activity.

The Religious Experience of the Church and the Experience of National Community in the Writings of Joseph Ratzinger–Benedict XVI

The main subject covered in this paper is the coexistence of the religious experience of the Church and the experience of national community in the teaching of Joseph Ratzinger–Benedict XVI. The starting point is the understanding of experience in the writings of Joseph Ratzinger–Benedict XVI. In his view, experience manifests itself in three ways: through faith and liturgy, through testimony and through saints. This, in turn, translates to the national experience, which encompasses such areas as culture and academia, religious and universal values, natural law, family and education, and the principles of subsidiarity and solidarity in development and progress. The interdependence between the Church and the national community reflected in the works of Joseph Ratzinger–Benedict XVI highlights the need for these two institutions to work together towards the common good of those who constitute the Church and those who constitute the nation, regardless of their religious beliefs or political convictions. Throughout Cardinal Ratzinger’s teaching, one can observe that the religious experience of the Church provides a starting point for the national experience that manifests itself in the brotherhood of all people.

Głównym zagadnieniem artykułu jest współistnienie doświadczenia religijnego Kościoła i doświadczenia wspólnoty narodowej w nauczaniu Josepha Ratzingera-Benedykta XVI. Punkt wyjścia stanowi rozumienie doświadczenia w pismach Josepha Ratzingera-Benedykta XVI. Doświadczenie to przejawia się w na trzy sposoby wiara i liturgia; świadectwo oraz świeci. to z kolei przekłada się na doświadczenie narodowe, które obejmuje następujące zagadnienia: kulturę i uniwersytet; wartości religijne i uniwersalne; prawo naturalne; rodzinę i wychowanie; oraz na zasadę pomocniczości i solidarności w rozwoju i postępie. Współzależność Kościoła jak i wspólnoty narodowej w nauczaniu Josepha Ratzingera-Benedykta XVI kładą nacisk na współpracę tych dwóch instytucji w dziedzinie dobra wspólnego tych, którzy tworzą Kościół oraz tych którzy tworzą naród nie zależnie od wyznawanej religii czy przekonań politycznych. W nauczaniu kard. Ratzingera, papieża Benedykta XVI widać, że doświadczenie religijne Kościoła stanowi punkt wyjścia dla doświadczenia narodowego, które widać we wspólnym braterstwie ludzi.
