Ontology of input validation attack patterns on web applications

Web applications have been the main intrusion target, and input errors from the web users lead to serious security vulnerabilities. Many web applications contain such errors, making them vulnerable to remotely exploitable input validation attacks such as SQL Injection, Command Injection, Meta-Characters, Formatting String, Path Traversal and Cross Site scripting. In this paper, we present ontology to represent patterns of input validation attacks on web applications. More specifically, our ontology is based on individual subclasses, properties and inverse functional properties, domain and range of input validation attack patterns. The ontology is implemented and interpreted with the web application development language OWL (Ontology Web Language).

Founded in 2016, Mapa Karier (Career Map) is a free digital tool supporting career design, in particular, for primary school students and career counsellors at primary schools in Poland. It was designed as a clever compromise between attractiveness, which is required to draw and retain the attention of young people today, and effectiveness in transmitting key career-related information when direct personal contact with the client is not possible. This article presents the goals of and assumptions behind Mapa Karier and discusses the methods of indirect counselling it implements and their limitations.

Mapa Karier to istniejące od 2016 roku darmowe, cyfrowe narzędzie wspierające projektowanie kariery, przeznaczone przede wszystkim dla uczniów szkół podstawowych w Polsce oraz szkolnych doradców zawodowych. Cechuje je przemyślany kompromis pomiędzy atrakcyjnością, niezbędną do przyciągnięcia i utrzymania uwagi młodych ludzi, a skutecznością przekazywania kluczowych treści w sytuacji braku bezpośredniego kontaktu z odbiorcą. Celem artykułu jest prezentacja celów i założeń Mapy Karier, zastosowanych metod poradnictwa zapośredniczonego oraz możliwości i ograniczeń jej wykorzystania w obszarze poradnictwa kariery.

Projektowanie interakcji skupia się na tworzeniu interfejsów, systemów w ścisłym związku z bada-niem zachowań użytkownika. W artykule przedstawiono sposoby projektowania nowoczesnych aplikacji internetowych. Odbiorcami publikacji mogą być programiści aplikacji internetowych, jak również projektan-ci UI oraz UX.
