The ability of creating couples is greatly important for the whole future life of two people, and the satisfaction and happiness felt by the partners in a relationship guarantees its durability. In the present article, I analyze the evolution of the close interpersonal relations between the two sides (of the partnership – through marriage – and after in the family). The marital bond is the basis and a special kind of a family bond. The bond formation process begins at the moment of creating the family. Both spouses bring to the relationship factors such as: mutual love, character traits, a system of values and material conditions. Living together leads to the development of further elements of the bond which can include: mutual understanding, tolerance, trust, shared goals, interests, and having children. Thanks to the existence of a sense of family ties, an individual is able to meet all their needs, ranging from biological, social to the psychological ones, and reaching to achieve the specified values.

Umiejętność dobierania się w pary ma ogromne znaczenie dla całego późniejszego życia dwojga ludzi, a odczuwane przez partnerów związku zadowolenie i szczęście gwarantują jego trwałość. Silna i trwała więź małżeńska jest niezastąpionym fundamentem więzi rodzinnej. W prezentowanym artykule analizuję ewolucję bliskiej relacji interpersonalnej między partnerami (od partnerstwa – przez małżeństwo – po rodzinę) oraz wskazuję na wagę licznych czynników, tj. miłość, bliskość, podobieństwo partnerów, atrakcyjność fizyczna, wzajemne lubienie się i uzupełnianie się oraz kompetencje, jakie partnerzy ci posiadają w konstytuowaniu się wzajemnej więzi – podstawy budującej przyszłą rodzinę. Więź małżeńska jest podstawą i szczególnym rodzajem więzi rodzinnej. Proces kształtowania się więzi rozpoczyna się z chwilą tworzenia rodziny. Oboje małżonkowie wnoszą do związku takie czynniki więzi, jak: wzajemną miłość, cechy charakteru, system wartości oraz warunki materialne. Wspólne życie prowadzi do wypracowania kolejnych elementów składających się na więź, do których możemy zaliczyć wzajemną wyrozumiałość, tolerancję, zaufanie, wspólne cele, zainteresowania, posiadanie dzieci. Dzięki istnieniu poczucia więzi w rodzinie jednostka może zaspokajać wszelkie potrzeby, od biologicznych począwszy, przez społeczne do psychicznych, dążąc do osiągania określonych wartości.

Living love is the most human and universal experience. Love is a complex, multi‐faceted, psychological and spiritual reality. It is a universal and timeless value. It is associated with the greatest human need to be loved and the desire to love. Therefore, in the integral development of a person, love is the most important factor that shapes and integrates his/her personality. The essence of love is unchangeable, but the ways of experiencing and expressing it are very different. The development of conjugal love requires the growth of a marital bond. It is thanks to it that it is possible for two people to be united in love. A marital bond constitutes an essential element which integrates and shapes the multifaceted area of marital relationship, interaction and communication.Nowadays, in an era of consumerism and a lifestyle based more on civil partnerships, it can be seen that love and marriage are not treated as the values, they are often even spoken of with shame. Therefore, the aim of the article is to present theoretical issues related to the experience of love in a Christian perspective, especially from the perspective of a marital bond. Taking into account the complexity of this issue, only selected aspects will be shown. The various contexts of love and the experience of marital love will be discussed. The essence and value of the marital bond will be shown, as well as the aspect of developing the ability to love in the process of human education.

Przeżywanie miłości jest najbardziej ludzkim i powszechnym doświadczeniem. Miłość jest rzeczywistością złożoną, wieloaspektową, psychiczną i duchową. To wartość uniwersalna i ponadczasowa. Związana jest z największą potrzebą ludzką bycia kochanym i pragnieniem miłowania. Dlatego też w integralnym rozwoju osoby jest ona najważniejszym czynnikiem, który kształtuje i scala jej osobowość. Istota miłości jest niezmienna, natomiast sposoby jej przeżywania i wyrażania są bardzo różne. Rozwój miłości małżeńskiej wymaga rozwoju więzi małżeńskiej. To dzięki niej możliwe jest integralne połączenie się dwóch osób w miłości. Więź małżeńska jest podstawowym elementem, który scala i wyraża wielopłaszczyznowy obszar małżeńskich relacji, interakcji i komunikacji.Obecnie, w dobie konsumpcjonizmu oraz rozpowszechniania się stylu życia w związkach partnerskich, można zauważyć, że miłość i więź małżeńska nie są wartościami, często wręcz mówi się o nich wstydliwie. W związku z tym, celem artykułu jest przedstawienie w ujęciu chrześcijańskim teoretycznych zagadnień odnoszących się do doświadczania miłości szczególnie w perspektywie więzi małżeńskiej. Uwzględniając złożoność tej problematyki, zostaną ukazane tylko wybrane jej aspekty. Omówione zostaną różnorodne konteksty miłości oraz doświadczanie i przeżywanie miłości małżeńskiej. Ukazana będzie istota i wartość więzi małżeńskiej, a także kwestia rozwijania zdolności do miłości w procesie wychowania człowieka.

The article systematically presents the development of natural family planning methods, in Poland and throughout the world, and describes particular actions of people in Poland that contributed to establishment of pastoral family counseling and marriage and family therapy. Certain amount of attention is given to activities of Maria Dorota Kwapisz, the first Diocesan Instructor of family counseling in the Diocese of Sandomierz, who substantially influenced the promotion of natural family planning methods, especially a temperature record. On the basis of letters by married couples to Dorota Kwapisz in the years between 1976 – 1978, it was concluded that natural family planning influences matrimonial bond and family bond in a significant manner. It has been confirmed by numerous statements given by the spouses that, as an effect of natural family planning, their marital love deepened and they experienced a new perception of intercourse and procreation.

Artykuł w sposób systematyczny ukazuje rozwój metod naturalnego planowania rodziny na świecie i w Polsce, prezentuje niektóre działania osób na terenie polskim, które przyczyniły się do powstania duszpasterstwa rodzin oraz poradnictwa małżeńsko-rodzinnego. Podkreśla działalność pierwszej Instruktorki Diecezjalnej poradnictwa rodzinnego Diecezji sandomierskiej – Marii Doroty Kwapisz i jej wpływ na propagowanie naturalnych metod regulacji poczęć – przede wszystkim metody termicznej. Na podstawie listów małżonków piszących do Doroty Kwapisz w latach 1976-1978 wywnioskowano, iż wpływ NPR na rozwój więzi małżeńskiej i rodzinnej jest znaczący. Potwierdzają to liczne wypowiedzi małżonków, wskazujące na pogłębienie miłości małżeńskiej oraz nowe spojrzenie na współżycie małżeńskie i dziedzinę prokreacji.
