Celem artykułu jest ukazanie systemu prewencyjnego ks. Jana Bosko jako podstawy wychowania żeglarskiego. System ten polega na aktywnym zapobieganiu złu i zarazem na tworzeniu pozytywnych warunków procesu wychowania. Przykładem zastosowania systemu ks. Jana Bosko jest wychowanie żeglarskie realizowane m.in. w klubie Yacht Club Saltrom. Elementy systemu prewencyjnego umożliwiają skonstruowanie programu, jego odpowiedni i skuteczny przebieg, potwierdzony w ocenie młodych członków klubu.

The aim of the following paper is to reveal Jan Bosko's preventive system as the basis of sailing education. This system is based on active prevention of evil and simultaneously, creating positive conditions for the process of education. An example of the application of the Jan Bosko’s system is the education of sailing existing in the Yacht Club Saltrom. Elements of the preventive system enables to construct the program, included appropriate and effective communication, confirmed in the assessment of young members of the club.
