Artykuł stanowi refleksję nad zmianami zachodzącymi w wypożyczaniu międzybibliotecznym z perspektywy centralnej biblioteki państwa - Biblioteki Narodowej. Tradycyjne formy są stopniowo zastępowane przez udostępnianie cyfrowe, a zmiany te są warunkowane oczekiwaniami użytkowników bibliotek. W Bibliotece Narodowej ważnym zadaniem jest łączenie jej statutowych obowiązków: archiwizowania i ochrony zasobu bibliotecznego z udostępnianiem. Problematykę omówiono w oparciu o trzyletnie doświadczenie funkcjonowania cyfrowej wypożyczalni Academica.

This article is a reflection on changes taking place in the interlibrary loan from the perspective of the central library of the State - the National Library. Traditional forms are gradually replaced by online services, and these changes are conditioned by the expectations of library users. In the National Library, it is important to combine the statutory duties of archiving and preserving library resources with providing access to them. The presentation of the topic was based on nearly three years of experience in the functioning of the digital interlibrary loan system Academica.
