The author shows that Makuszyński’s novel inspired Lewandowski to create an intriguing story, full of surprising twists and turns, set in the cyberworld, important for the contemporary young readers. Satan and Company can be considered a worthy continuation of Makuszyński’s novel, showing a cheerful life philosophy. Lewandowksi provides his readers with humour and optimism that were the hallmarks of Makuszyński’s fiction.
