Artykuł prezentuje wyniki monitoringu umiejętności matematycznych, który prowadzony był w 2017 r. w klasach IV szkół podstawowych Gminy Laboratorium. Artykuł jest kontynuacją publikacji Moniki Jakubowskiej. Parametrami niezależnymi pomiaru były nie tylko kapitał rodzinny i płeć, ale również wiek uczniów (wśród których część rozpoczęła szkolną naukę w wieku m lat). Niniejsza publikacja dotyczy zaradności matematycznej w rozwiązywaniu problemów za pomocą jednej z podstawowych metod heurystycznych: prób i błędów. Podobnie jak w poprzednich artykułach problem przedstawiono w szerszej perspektywie ukazując poglądy studentów (przyszłych pedagogów) o matematyce, heurystyce oraz praktyce konstruktywistycznego uczenia się. W artykule zwrócono uwagę na trudności występujące przy chociaż częściowym odejściu od behawiorystycznego nauczania, które wynikają m.in. postmodernistycznych poglądów środowisk edukacyjnych oraz niefortunnych działań MEN.

The article presents the results of the monitoring of mathematical skills which was conducted in 2017 in classes 4 of a primary school of the so called “Laboratory District”. This article is a continuation of Monika Jakubowska’s publication. The independent parameters were not only family capital and gender but also the age of the students (among whom some started school education at the age of 6). This publication deals with mathematical resourcefulness in problem solving with use of one of the basic heuristic methods - trial and error. As in previous articles, the problem has been presented in a broader perspective, showing students’ (future teachers) views on mathematics, heuristics and the practice of constructive learning. In the article, attention has been paid to the difficulties encountered when the behavioral model of teaching is even partially abandoned. It happens so due to the postmodernist views of the educational environments and unfortunate activities of the Ministry of National Education.
