This article touches the problem of applying syntactic units on Polish language course. The main subject is functional distinction of different types sentences. The author presents a lesson plan (allotted for two academic hours), which shows how to easily recognize sentences and phrase equivalents. She also draws her attention to the cultural and historical context of presented content. The superior objective of this lesson unit is showing that learning the rules of Polish syntax should and can be fun.
