The Libyan writer, Ibrahim Al-Kuni proposes us a collection of essays entitled 'Sahrai al-kubra', in which the story of a man-creator is presented as a metaphorical journey through the desert. This philosophical work is full of symbols, allusions, quotations and other hints inviting to a rich and vast interpretation. Following the concept of the intertextual approach formulated by some postmodern thinkers and literary scholars like J. Kristeva, R. Barthes, P. Sollers and others, the intertextual analysis leads the reader to the infinite universe of meanings. The essays of the Libyan writer seem to be, in fact, a fascinating voyage through the mosaic of texts from the antique to the contemporary ones.
