The majestic seal of Casimir Jagellon, found by the author in the Gniezno Archdiocesan Archives is the only, known today, specimen of that seal attached to a document. The king, because of some unspecified reason, which still remains to be studied, did not want to make use of it. In the face of a difficult financial situation and political trouble, he used it only once, on 20 November 1470, setting the majestic seal on two privileges, issued on behalf of noblemen and clergymen of the Kingdom of Poland.
