The article concerns main assumptions of psychological help for an unemployed person. It was focused on main areas of difficulty, experienced by the unemployed person, as well as the ways of reducing those problems. The introduced foundations have become a basis to create the programme of workshops, strengthening the unemployed person's psychological condition. Each difficulty was discovered, analyzed and reduced during the workshop work with a coach psychologist. The first area of difficulty handled the knowledge of the self, own professional preferences and personality, talents and weaknesses. The second issue was to deal with some own emotional experiences and to manage beliefs of self-efficacy. Another part of the training was to analyse the area of life with hope and optimism and to develop the sense of responsibility. Last but not least was to shape the skill of building the social support.
