The primary aim of this study is the presentation of changes that have occurred in the case of Polish representation on European Works Councils (EWC) over the past few years. These changes primarily pertain to the gradual increase in the number of our representatives on the Councils, their preparedness for work, and their level of activity in the EWC, as well as just how the character and importance of these institutions are seen by Council members. Moreover, this study is to serve to assess the activities of the EWC as well as to compare the situation of Polish representatives on the Councils before and after Poland's entry into the European Union. The comparative analysis is based on the results of three empirical studies relating to Polish representation on EWC.
