The subjects of the two projects introduced in the paper are the same: the predictable restructuring of the food and beverage sector from a logistic aspect. The goal of the first research (SULOGTRA) was to determine the main characteristic of the European (former EU150 countries' logistic processes in the food and beverage sector. The other (Hungarian) research wanted to determine only the national characteristics of the sector, and to compare it to the SULOGTRA results. If the participants of the 'Emerging Markets' are aware of the predictable logistic trends (named by the developed countries experts), they can react in time with their organizational behavior to the new challenges. It is also interesting to examine, what are the differences between the two regional aspects, and what should be developed in the new EU member states' food and beverage sector companies to remain viable in the increased market competition.
