Within modern feminism as a very receptive movement one can observe different tendencies and trends resulting from a strong belief in a constantly existing women's discrimination. A starting-point for the majority of scientific theories and studies on feminism that nowadays are developing within different branches, is a kind of 'silence' that, among others, leaves out of account of womanish point of view, especially within cultural and scientific output that has been worked out till now. This statement reveals that a basic task to do is creating new cognitive visions. Such attempts are also made by present Christian theology, and particularly by one of its trends that is predominatingly called '‘theology of feminism'. Theology of feminism arose in mid tempestuous 1960s, first in Protestant and Anglican circles, later also in Catholicism. The main principle of the theology of feminism is a theological reflection presented by feminists' circles that made attempts at creating a new theological paradigm. The representatives of the trend are willing to work out a new conception that would result from women's experience, and could be realized through reinterpretation of the Bible and Church Tradition. To sum up, theology of feminism is trying to change our perception of the texts, symbols and personages that are commonly recognized in our culture. Undoubtedly, the discussed trend is one of the catalysts for changes in people's outlook upon women, their significance in social life both in the past and nowadays. However, on account of its restrained influence it is difficult to identify the trend with a starting-point for a revival of Church as some representatives of the theology of feminism used to believe. to be completed
