The article is aimed at presenting changes in approaching the problem: Whose interests does an enterprise represent? An analysis of selected theories concerning that question has been presented, followed by a conclusion that a transition from ideas considering only the owner's interests to ideas highlighting the importance of all groups involved in the process can be observed.
