Thinking about contemporary sport as a human potentiality competition is becoming more and more arguable, as the world of sport has become an area of far-reaching technological interference. That influence has deeply modified both the external (related to sports equipment: that which is used for competition - like balls or bikes - and that which supports competition - clothes and shoes) and internal (technodoping, sports medicine) level of sport. The expansion of technology has greatly changed sporting anatomy, which leads to a reflection on a new aspect of contemporary sport: is equipment still designed primarily to serve human competition or is there more a rivalry of technology itself?
