The aim of the paper is to present the popularity of the 'Dhola-Maru' tradition in Rajasthani folk theatre. 'Khyal', the folk theatre of Rajasthan belongs to one of the least researched areas of the arts in this region and the most famous Rajasthani love story about 'Dhola' and 'Maru' has not been studied in the form of the folk theatre. Since the 'Dhola-Maru' story is deeply rooted in folklore and oral traditions, he authoress attempts to show that this narrative tradition is also present in the folk form of theatre.
