The development of civilisation in many European countries resulted in great economic progress. It resulted in creating new agricultural model, the so called industrial agriculture. The dominance of economic aims, accelerated progress of technologies and the drive to maximise gains caused many negative consequences for the environment and society alike. Hence after the period of admiration for industrial agriculture's achievements we are now confronting growing interest in ecological agriculture also known as biological, organic or bio-dynamic agriculture. The term depicts economic system in agriculture based on sustainable plant and animal production on a farm. The system is based on biological and mineral agricultural production means that are not processed by any industrial technology. The basic rule of ecological agriculture is rejecting from the food producing process all the agricultural, veterinarian or food processing chemicals. It is a solid, self-relying and economically safe system that mixes traditional agricultural ways with the latest scientific achievements.
