The authoress discusses the extent of press seizures in Kraków after entry into force of the Polish criminal code in 1932. She focuses on the statistical records of seizures both in chronological terms and by press titles and applicable paragraphs of the criminal code, ordinances of the President of the Republic of Poland and the press law. The article also analyses a selection of press articles subject to seizure in order to identify a list of subjects banned by censors. .
