Nowadays traditional folk culture is presented in variety of forms, in different cultural activities and program characteristics. We were focused on the Turiec region and its cultural activities such as markets, commemorations, folk festivals, scenic festivals, activities in museums and chosen annual traditions. Because of diversity of institutional and informal subjects that initiate and organize these activities, the emphasis is put on their attraction or extraordinary features than on the origination and purity. The aim is to differ from other towns or villages and to invite as many visitors as possible.
