The paper presents current problems of environment protection confronting business tourism. The role of business tourism and its specific types has been described regarding great development of tourism in the XXI century. Moreover, the influence of modern tourism on environment has been showed as well as tendencies aiming at minimizing negative impact of tourism and hotels on nature. It has been suggested that all forms of business tourism might be also a chance for developing the environmental consciousness of a business tourist.
