Frequency of given and received financial and nonfinancial transfers, inheritance and grandchildren care were investigated in international comparison. More detailed analyses focus on Poland and take into account donors and recipients of transfers, reasons for received and given transfers, and also value of financial transfers and frequency of nonfinancial transfers. Results show that population 50+ consists not only of transfers recipients but often of transfers donors. Results for Poland are similar to the results obtained for southern European countries.
