Poland has one of the most out-of-date industry structures in Europe.16 years of Polish transformation were lost as regards its improvement. Allowing for liquidation of ca. 2 million workplaces between 1989-2002 belongs to the greatest mistakes of this period. An effective functioning of Polish enterprises in the EU demands radical changes concerning the structure of domestic industry.
