Regulations of consumer credit's act imposed on institutions, which offer consumer credits, duty to calculate the annual percentage rate (APR) and make it accessible to consumers. Annual percentage rate is universal measure of : credit costs which allow estimating actual finance charges (including provisions, charges, mode of withdrawal and payback). In the first part of the article the authors discussed essence and rules of calculating APR. In the next part a diagnostic poll of the knowledge of APR among consumers, on the basis of survey done amidst bank clients, was made.
