The substantial meaning of each philosophical project can be measured by the acute presence of questions which it is asking and which do not let the audience to remain passive. That is the reason why the philosophy of Adam Schaff is worth studying. Although, nowadays it is not as popular or politically correct as it used to be some years ago, his ideas, his life, scratch deeply our consience by questions he has asked. Who are philosophers and who should they be? What is their role in the society? Where is the borderline between politics, philosophy and ideology? How to measure and verify philosophers and their ideas? What is reality? What is the human potential to explore it? Where is the human space or where it should be? They claim attention and give credit to the man whose life has been dedicated to asking them.
