There are Greek Catholics living together with Roman Catholics in numerous places in the country of Eastern Slovakia. There were some researches in the year 1790 about their celebrations: whether they celebrated Roman Catholic or Greek Catholic feasts - whether they used Gregorian or Julian calendar. Greek Catholics celebrated feasts as Roman Catholics in Saris, Abov and in North Zemplin (subsequent Eparchy of Presov). Greek Catholics in South Zemplin (subsequent Eparchy of Mukacheve) celebrated their own feasts and used Julian calendar. Other researches: Were Greek Catholics forced to accommodate Roman Catholics by authorities? Most of records from Saris are written in Slovak dialect, in which Greek Catholics are entitled in more synonymic terms.
