The article analyses the parliamentary deliberation on bills restricting women’s reproductive rights during the COVID-19 pandemic. The discourse analysis examines how the pandemic and other crises are conceptualised, how women and the foetus are conceptualised, and how the paper does not directly analyse the reasoning of the members of Parliament, but their assumptions. Based on the analysis, it can be said that the framing or lack of treatment of the pregnant woman as a Mother and the foetus as a Child with rights was the key conviction on which the members of Parliament based their formulating their arguments.
