The source material concerns Leg Tarnowski, a place currently located in the poviat of Tarnow, community of Zabno. The purpose of the article is to publish the unknown documents from the 16th and early 17th centuries concerning Leg Tarnowski. The critical edition of the source documents is preceded by the information on known towns established by Jan Tarnowski and a list of documents signed by the hetman himself that exist until today. Two of the documents published in this article contain privileges given by Hetman Jan Tarnowski in 1559 and 1560, and one by Anna Ostrogska in 1607. In the first document, Jan Tarnowski grants the vicarages of Tarnow the privilege of charging predial tithes from farmlands in the newly established village called Tarnowisko, or Leg Tarnowski as it is known today. It is a copy of an authentic document made in Latin. The other two documents are Polish translations of Latin documents made probably in 1763 by Father Andrzej Kijowski.
